Apartment Massi is located on the second floor of an ancient building in the heart of Orvieto, one of the nicest town in Italy that was an important Etruscan city and boasts a great heritage of art and history such as: the Necropolis and Temple of Belvedere, the Archaeological museum (here and at the Museo Faina you can admire a large exposition of vases and bronzes from the Etruscan age).
Furthermore, just outside the city you will find the Etruscan Tombs of Hescanas and Golini and the archaeological area of Campo della Fiera. Orvieto was also a powerful medieval city whose territories extended to the Tyrrhenian coast (Orbetello). Linked to the medieval period are some important city monuments such as the Duomo, Palazzo del Popolo, St. Patrick’s Well and beautiful noble palaces.
The Duomo in particular contains works of art sculptures and paintings of great value, in particular the San Brizio Chapel with the frescoes by Luca Signorelli that were studied by Michelangelo for his Sistine Chapel creation.
Apartment Massi has been recently renovated keeping the typical character of the city apartments. The owner took particular attention by mixing modern furniture with ancient details making it a very comfortable house. The apartment has two large bedrooms each with en suite bathroom with walk in showers and hair dryers, spacious living room with dining area and an open kitchen fully equipped, (gas stove, microwave, electric oven, fridge with freezer, dishwasher, washing machine).
The apartment can accommodate 6 people, thanks to a double sofa bed in the living room and it is provided with all comforts: satellite TV, DVD and CD player, Interntet wi-fi, air conditioning, etc.
Finally, Orvieto is a perfect location for visiting Tuscany, Umbria and it also has easy access to Rome and Florence that can be reached by train in less than one hour.
Orvieto is also a stratefical position for a day trip, the train station allow guest to be either in Rome or Florence city center in one hour!
