Neighborhood and surroundings
Paxos is the smallest of the Ionian islands, the Greek archipelago that plunges into the Mediterranean Sea, towards Italy, which also includes Corfù, Ithaca and Zakynthos; a patch of land just 10 kilometers long and 4 meters wide immersed in an enchanting sea.
Today it is a destination frequented by people in search of experiences and times far from the chaos of the destinations crowded by summer mass tourism.
The first place you come to in Paxos is the quaint port town of Gaios, the main port of the island. The town is the tourist center of the island, where you can find pretty restaurants, places to eat or drink and the main shops and supermarkets of Paxos.
An excursion not to be missed if you go to Paxos is the visit to the island of Antipaxos, which hosts some wonderful beaches, where the sea takes on an incredible shade of blue.
