Cala Comte: One of the Best Beach in Ibiza
The Balearic Island of Ibiza is synonymous with vibrant nightlife and gorgeous beaches. Among them, Cala Comte (or Platges de Comte) stands out as one of the most appreciated both by locals and visitors, offering a perfect mix of natural beauty, relaxed atmosphere and quality services.
The Allure of Cala Comte
What sets Cala Comte apart is its stunning scenery, where clear, shallow waters transition through a palette of aquamarine, teal, and cerulean blues. Framed by rugged cliffs and a cluster of small, rocky islets dotting the horizon, the beach offers visitors a serene escape.
The beach itself is divided into a sandy section and a rocky area, catering to a variety of preferences. Families with children often gravitate towards the soft sands and shallow waters, perfect for safe swimming and play. Adventurous visitors can explore the rockier edges, which are ideal for snorkeling and discovering underwater life.
Loungers and parasols are available for rent, making it easy to soak up the sun. The beach is also home to several beach bars and restaurants, where you can enjoy Mediterranean cuisine or enjoy a night party. Speaking of night time, the sunsets at Cala Comte are legendary. When the sun merges with the sea, the sky turns into a spectacle of orange, pink and purple hues.
Just so you know, at the western end of Cala Comte is Cala Escondida, a small cove frequented by nudists.
Getting to Cala Comte
Cala Comte is located on the western coast of Ibiza, at about 25 minutes by car from Ibiza Town. It is easy to reach by taxi or private vehicle.
