But in the entire area of the Les 3 Vallées there are hiking trails that offer stunning views of the autumn foliage. And Meribel is a great starting point, as several trails start from the village. One of the most popular trails is the Les Allues loop, which takes you through forests and meadows. It is about 7 kilometers long and takes about 2-3 hours to complete.
One element that makes hiking in Meribel even more unforgettable is that autumn is the season for deer mating. This means that during your walks you may happen to hear males bellowing, or you may even see them.
Finally, if you want to get a great view of the area, you can take the cable car up to the ski resort of Les Menuires.
Biking
Mountain biking is another great way to explore the area. There are many different trails to choose from, depending on your level of experience. You can rent a bike in town or bring your own. As for hiking, also biking is a great way to see the autumn foliage.
